THE HOOD vs GOING INTERNET PLATINUM

As those of you who have been counting know, yesterday's post was the 100th ABX/STV SLV Hood Internet track (check the myspace for numbering). And if you've been paying even closer attention you would know that we have over 1 million song downloads (Note to zShare: When you gonna cut us that check?). So we decided to certify ourselves as internet platinum, which is really quite an honor.

Big ups to God, the internet, and all those other people you thank when you win something. Also, we couldn't have given ourselves this award without the dedication of the Hood Internet Interns who have devoted countless hours to tracking downloads and getting us coffee.

And don't think we forgot about our loyal readers. To celebrate our platinum status we are dropping our next mixtape here on Monday, just in time for all those year-end best of 2007 lists.

Congrats, Hood. The making of 100 tracks alone is pretty good; and that some of those are some of those are better mashes than my Gram's is even a greater accolade.

I have been at a crossroads as to where you belong on my best of 2007 list. I believe "The Collected Works of The Hood Internet" is the big #1.

Perhaps you will occupy your own list. POSSIBILITIES
