Sorry, but this is just plain lazy. The only thing carrying it is the original HP Lindstrom track, which is already a fully instrumental track. I've made better mixes while DJing live, just throwing an any ol' acapella over the top of the live record.
Besides, "I Feel Space" is one of those tracks that really doesn't need any vocals.
Bleh.
Bah-caw!
Huh... contrary to the above comment, I found it to be a compelling mix. Initially I thought the tune of the vocal vs. the tune of the song was too "off". But, the strange blend sucked me in, and it's been stuck in my head ever since.
That said, I don't think Bald Eagle purports that he's making a big artistic statement here. Mash-ups are for fun, often made purely for spinning in a live setting. Any DJ taking themselves and their mixes too seriously should think otherwise. And, haterz often get rememered more for their hating than for their awesome skills... but are entitled to their own opinion, of course.
bald eagle: I respect your openness to criticism.
la*jesus: Yeah, you're spot on... almost.
Probably like hundreds out there I also make mash-ups, although in agreement with what you say about haters, disclosing my identity here would leave me open to hyper-scrutinizing.
And while I can most definitely be accused of taking some of my mixes too seriously, I partially agree with wht you say about that. Yes, silly or random can work and can be funny or even make the floor move. But I think it also has to work sonically, aurally. The different parts have to work together as a cohesive unit, and with this one I just didn't hear that--I still two very different songs.
Maybe it's just because I like "I Feel Space" so much and have heard it a brasilian times. But I doubt it.

Uh oh. Seems as though some sort of interweb faux pas has been committed here. Thx 4 the friendly discourse gents!
